Meet The Band

WHO WE ARE...

We are a local band from the Chicagoland area tasked with preserving the all-time classics. From Jimi Hendrix to Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers, our audiences travel back to the good ole days. Founded in the basement of two of our band members, we give tribute to their dad Jeff, who lets us use his equipment and is one of the best sound men in the business.

MEET THE BAND

Ben

Drums

Always listening to classic rock in the back seat of car rides with his family, Ben attained an interest in music early on. Ben began his drum instruction at School of Rock Arlington Heights at age 7.  At age 10 he began performing, making his way to School of Rock's elite Houseband before eventually playing at Summer Fest in 2022. Over the many years of playing and performing Ben has seen his influence stem from drumming greats such as the likes of Keith Moon of the Who,  John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Neil Peart of Rush, and Danny Seraphine of Chicago. However, his real passion for drumming came from his very first drum instructor Joe Babiak. When he's not performing on stage, Ben can always be found listening to music at home, at the park, and of course, the car.

He draws inspiration from various artists and musical styles ranging from classical music to R&B to Rap. Lucas played with School of Rock in Arlington Heights for a few years in its Housband and continues to hone his craft with piano and voice lessons alongside the talented friends he met atalong the way. Lucas plans to pursue a computer science/music degree when he graduates from Prospect High School next year.

Lauren

Vocals

Lauren has been a performing vocalist since the age of 9. Her love of music and performing developed when she was a toddler exploring all forms of music. She finally set on piano as her first formal instruction and later moved onto vocal training with School of Rock. She later added acoustic guitar to her musical repertoire. Recently, she has developed her recording and music production skills. Lauren's musical interests range from Aretha to Zeppelin, yet has an affinity for all genres of music. As a senior at Prospect High School, you can find Lauren with a pair of headphones on mixing music in her music production class. When she isn't at school or performing with Jeff's Invention or her other band David's House, she can be found performing with the House Band from School of Rock - Arlington Heights or working on her own songs as a songwriter producing her own music.

Blake

Bass

Blake began exploring music at 8 years old while living in Lisbon, Portugal for two years. He first started with classical guitar, learning the basics of being a musician and performing in front of his school, friends, and family. At 10 years old after moving back to states, he joined School of Rock in Arlington Heights and began playing electric guitar. Despite wanting to be a dedicated guitar player, he was later instructed to pick up bass and spent a lot more time learning the fundamentals of the instrument. Ranging from musicians like Pino Paladino and Nathan Watts, he learned from their styles and eventually got into the two highest programs of School of Rock - Houseband and All-Stars. Blake recieves instruction from a Chicago bassist with a degree in jazz from Columbia College. As a sophomore at Buffalo Grove High School, Blake also participates in the school marching band and jazz ensemble. Blake wants to continue in the music world for the long run.
